The Coast Track weaves its way through rich native forest, pristine golden beaches, and turquoise waters, in what is one of New Zealand’s most beautiful National Parks. Here you can immerse yourself in lush groves of tea trees, tree ferns and rimu, and walk to a soundtrack of bellbirds, tui, and weka. This area is steeped in history and culture, from the first Māori tribes and their brush with the Dutch explorer Abel Tasman, to d’Urville’s astrological survey and the first European settlers.

Our guided trips bring your walking experience to life. Our guides live and breath the Abel Tasman and have a depth of knowledge that is refreshing, fun and informal. Ask them about the flora, fauna, history and culture of this magical corner of New Zealand, and let them take care of all the arrangements and make sure your trip runs smoothly.

We offer one-day guided walks, or a choice of the Coast Track Classic and Coast Track Complete multi-day walks. The Classic walk runs from Totaranui to Marahau, whilst the Complete walk has the addition of the lesser-visited Northern section from Wainui Bay to Totaranui. We have 3 and 4 day itineraries staying at beachfront lodges in the heart of the Park. We take care of all the arrangements, including your accommodation, transport and food. Your overnight bag will be transferred to your accommodation by water taxi, so all you have to carry is your daypack.
